Before Lighting Your Candle...
1. Can you commit to burning the candle for long enough?
The first burn is the most important! Candles have a memory, that means that the candle will only ever burn to where
it was last melted. If the melted wax hasn’t reached the edge of the jar on the first burn, it will begin to tunnel. Make sure you have enough time to let your candle burn to the edge of the jar when first lighting. This can take up to 4 hours.
2. Have you trimmed your wick!?
Trimming your wick is super important to maintain an even, clean burn. Not trimming the wick can cause the flame to become too large causing it to flicker. It can also cause your candle to emit unwanted smoke.
3. Have you placed it away from direct sunlight and or heat?
Whether lit or not, keep your candles out of direct sunlight and or heat. This can ruin the candles by causing the wax to discolour and fade. It can also weaken the fragrance in the candle over time.
